About the event
Students will learn about the hazards when excavating a trench or cavity in the soil, and how they can be injured or killed by being caught in between the walls of an open trench.
They will learn about the importance of companies developing and implementing a Trenching and Excavation Program, the 811 one -call system, soil classification, the various protective systems, and the role of the Competent Person.
